THE FARM

PictureHandcrafted rabbit family guarding the driveway
The many micro wonders happening every day on our farm are quite a humbling experience; an experience that renews and strengthens our trust in the guidance of Mother Earth, nudging us towards embracing all 'what is'.

The animals on our farm enjoy a safe, healthy, and mostly free range life in appropriate habitats, receiving a healthy and balanced diet of grains, greens, hay, proteins and a blend of dedicated attention and experienced care. We keep various sorts of chicken, turkey, geese, and rabbits, appreciating their sounds and lively enthusiasm.

Our farm provides us on a daily basis with fresh eggs that are truly delicious. Lean and healthy meats of chicken, turkey, geese and rabbits are available seasonally.

Our bee hives are placed in the midst of our gardens, offering a rich and varied food supply to our bees. While the bees generously feed on the different plants and trees, they also ensure the essential role of pollinating our fruit trees and shrubs. Twice a year, we collect a very delicious honey that reflects the blossoming landscape found in and around our gardens.

Our composting worms are another essential pillar of our garden and farm. Using composting worms, we started producing a special kind of compost more than 10 years ago. These tireless little animals with their big appetite eat approximately their body weight every day in organic matter, thereby producing large quantities of worm manure. This vermicast, also known as vermicompost, looks and feels like soil and is very high in nutrients and beneficial microorganisms. The black gold of every gardener!

Charming their way into our hearts are also a dog, several cats, turtles, hedgehogs, butterflies, dragonflies, ladybugs, different types of singing birds, and many other beneficial smaller animals and insects. Every living creature has its role in our gardens and farm!
