"Gardens flourish in times of peace and societal well-being.
Gardens can also contribute to peace building.
It is to be hoped that regional botanical gardens will contribute in time
to public space for leisure interaction as well as fostering
environmental consciousness and greater appreciation
of gardening and conservation of endemic plants."

Take A Seasonal Stroll Through Our Gardens

A walk through Samen Eco Gardens is a feast for the senses - delighting the eyes, enchanting the nose, and soothing the soul..

Stroll along winding paths beneath the canopy of native, regional, subtropical, and tropical fruit trees. Pause to admire ornamental plants that punctuate the greenery with bursts of color, and feel the calm, uplifting energy that permeates every corner.

A natural pond glimmers nearby, its surface dotted with aquatic plants and alive with the movement of fish. Notice the insect hotel tucked among the foliage - a tiny sanctuary where beneficial insects find shelter and thrive.

Marvel at our green roofs, which not only please the eye, but also enhance the landscape and improve the indoor climate of the spaces below.

Admire the captivating collection of cacti and succulents, alongside the graceful orchids suspended from metal tree-like structures beneath the viewing platform at the foot of a towering pine tree. In winter, the orchids are moved to the greenhouse to preserve them through the colder months.

Plan Your Garden Visit

Experience the rich biodiversity of our ornamental and food forest gardens where every season offers unique sights, scents, and sounds.

Many of our trees are 25-35 years old. Together with a complex layering of plants and the use of organic and permaculture principles, our botanical garden is often described as an "urban jungle".

Join us for a fun and educational guided tour (about 1.5 hours) suitable for individuals, families, students, company outings, and fellow gardeners and farmers.
